Asian Arts Festival held at Hong Kong in the year 1990.

The dance Arts Festival in France in 1990. Performed in the presence of the Prime Minister of France and other dignitaries and in France as part of ‘COEURS DE FRANCE’ Arts Festival in 1991.

Performed in Australia, Singapore and neighbouring countries, Germany, London, New Caledonia (French Colony).

Performed in France on invitation from the Term Production Organization playing Mridangam and Arumukanam.

Social Performances

Towards the Welfare Fund for the Soldiers who laid their very lives protecting the Indian boundaries in the KARGIL war, Gopakumar organized a Tala Mela programme and donated the entire proceeds for the cause.

For the entertainment of prison officials and inmates of the Central Prison at Pondicherry on several occasions during last 10 years.

Performed during Police Rising Day in 2004 at Pondicherry.

A demonstration cum description of Mridangam was held in the premises of Motilal Nehru Government Polytechnic in complying with the request of the Principal under NSS Scheme. Being a member of the Scouts organization, he had participated several times for the benefit of Scouts Boys and Girls.

Performed during the Inauguration function at Orlyanpet Police Station at Pondicherry.

Performed at Pondicherry Senior Citizen’s Welfare Association at Pondicherry during Annual day 2009.

Being the Founder cum Secretary of Puduvai Sangeetha Laya Shruthi Organization, arranged several music and dance programmes for the public.

Played mridangam with his students of Bharathiyar Palkalai Koodam twelve hours continuous program during night time on the account of World Peace Day and during day time in the name PAGALAVAN PARVAIL MRIDANGA ISAI.

The instrument Arumukhanam invented by Vidwan Gopakumar has many medicinal values. It can cure the pain in joints, back pain, body pain, reduces mental stress, tension. Playing this instrument, our right brain and left brain work simultaneously. Apart from this he is doing a rhythm therapy with this instrument in the Saday, School for Special needs.

Conducted a 10 days FREE ARUMUKHANAM WORKSHOP with Chennai Fine Arts, Chennai & Puduvai Sangeetha Laya Shruthi Organization, Puducherry with the Participation of 104 students from           06-05-2010 to 15-05-2010 at Kurinji Nagar Manamagizh mandram, Lawspet, Puducherry. Another 10 days free arumukhanam workshop was conducted in the year 2011 with Chennai fine arts at Kurinji nagar manamagizh mandram, Lawspet, Puducherry.

Motivated by his disciples and choreographed to perform Arumukhanam at Puduvai Tamil Sangam, titled “Sweet, elegant drum beats of percussion instruments”.

Seven days Arumukhanam workshop was conducted in the year 2012 with Chennai fine arts under the concept of Visesha vadyanubhava at Puduvai tamil sangam, venkata nagar, puducherry. 

Worked as a resource person and performed a Music Concert in the “CULTURAL UNITY DAY” celebration on 23^rd November 2012, towards the National Integration Week, held at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Kathirkamam, Puducherry, conducted by CCRT.

Concert is given on the occasion of 25^th year celebration of Bharathiar Palkalai Koodam, titled “Laya Sancharam” with students. Live demo is given in the Sharana, social and welfare organization.

Thirukkural music composed and performed in Pondicherry beach on the occasion of Thiruvalluvar Day, 2014.

Performed Arumukhanam, “Arumukhana thala isai karuviyin muzhakkam” at Sri Guru Akkaswamy temple on 7th June 2014.

Worked as a Resource Person in the three days workshop conducted by Centre for Cultural Resources, 2013 & 2014 and training organized at Kathirkamam Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School.

Vidwan Gopakumar had the priviliage to play mridangam with his students of Bharathiar Palkalai Koodam, twelve hours (6 pm to 6 am) continuous program “MEETUM PURATTUM” conducted on 10th April 2015.
